Hermosa Beach California Sport: Beach Volleyball Website Tatiana Minello is a very well respected player all around the globe, known for her professionalism, dedication, hard work, discipline and tremendous ball control, she has conquered what many has not. Tatiana has the experience behind her, with 7 years of professional indoor in Italy and over 10 years playing beach volleyball professionally. Minello has an impressive career, with an Open win at the Goodwill Games in Australia. She has played with some of the biggest names in beach volleyball, including Sandra Pires (gold medal in beach volleyball in the 1996 Olympics, with whom she earned her first open title) and Ana Paula Connelly. Minello has always been ranked individually top 5 in aces and digs on both AVP and Brazilian tours and throughout her career seasons has been always ranked among top 7 teams in the country. Priscilla Lima came to USA at the age of 19 with a full ride to play for University of Louisiana at Lafayette. After qualifying in her second tournament ever, Lima has since then a very impressive and successful career. In the first 3 years Lima went from second to last in a California qualifier tournament to 9th ranked team in the nation. Two years after that, she partnered with Minello for the 2009 season where they finished as the 3rd ranked team in the USA. In 2009 Lima gathered Most Improved Player Award on the AVP Tour. Priscilla has played 5 seasons on the AVP Tour, having her breakthrough season in 2009 when partnered with Tatiana Minello. Even though they are both Brazilians, they only met in 2004 when Minello came to the AVP with her old partner Mimi. The following year, Tati started playing with Carrie Dodd and Priscilla with Angela Lewis. It was not until 2009, when Tati asked Pri to play with her, that they became a team. In short, their first season was great and it really showed Priscilla's potential breaking through the top beside the experienced Tati. |
